The deputy commissioner of Kohima in Nagaland on Wednesday asserted there will be total ban on sale of tobacco products during Hornbill Festival at Heritage Village of Kisama.
The deputy commissioner and District-Level Coordination Committee chairman Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, has informed that there will be total ban on the sale of tobacco products during the Hornbill Festival at Heritage Village, Kisama.

The officer also informed that under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of advertisement and regulation of the trade and commerce, production, supply and distribution) Act 2003, there will be prohibition of smoking in public places.
A statement from the deputy commissioner stated that any person violating the order shall be liable to be punished as per the law.
