Meghalaya registered two new COVID-19 positive cases on Monday night.
This was informed by state chief minister Conrad Sangma through his official Twitter handle.

Sangma wrote:
‘Two persons who came from UP to South West Garo Hills have tested positive. They are under quarrantine.
Total Cases 46

They came in a private vehicle and under home quarrantine.’
The two persons have come back to the State recently from Uttar Pradesh.

They hail from South West Garo Hills.
They had come in a private vehicle and were presently under home quarantine.
With these, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the State has gone up to 46.
There are at present eight active cases.
