The Delhi High Court on Monday ordered suspension of breath analyzer tests through tube process for air traffic controllers till March 27 in the wake of coronavirus outbreak.

As per reports, Justice Prathiba M Singh directed the Directorate General of Medical Services to hold an urgent meeting with the DGCA, the Air Traffic Controllers’ Guild (India), doctors and the Airport Authority of India to explore alternative methods for the test.

The court was hearing a plea filed by the Air Traffic Controllers’ Guild (India) which sought suspension of breath analyzer tests through the current tube process to prevent spread of coronavirus.

The high court listed the matter for further hearing on March 27.
