Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Guwahati Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Faculty in 2026.

Eligibility Criteria :
The candidates should have a strong commitment to produce high-quality research, publishable in top academic journals. They should demonstrate the ability to teach in the Post Graduate Programme. They must have a PhD in the relevant areas. For Associate/Full Professors, the candidates should have demonstrated research and teaching excellence.
Professor:
Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent with a successful track record of research and publication and a minimum of 10 years of teaching/research experience, of which at least 6 years should be at the level of Associate Professor at an institution of repute.
Associate Professor:
Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent with a successful track record of research and publications and a minimum of 6 years of teaching/research experience, of which at least 6 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor at an institution of repute.
Assistant Professor (Grade I):
Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent with a brilliant academic background. Applications from candidates with a minimum of three years of teaching/ research/ professional experience as of the date of application will be considered. Experience acquired while pursuing a PhD shall not be counted towards this requirement. Candidates should have demonstrated research capability through publications in reputed journals and refereed conferences.
At the entry level, the individual may get a position at Academic Level 12 and upon satisfactory completion of three years of service as Assistant Professor Grade I, the individual shall move to Academic Level 13A1.
Assistant Professor (Grade II):
Candidate not eligible for Assistant Professor Grade I are considerable for a Contractual/Assistant Professor Grade II position with appropriate pay as per the norms. At the entry level, the individual may get a position in the Academic Level 10 or 11 with appropriate pay on the basis of post-PhD experience. After three years of service in Academic Level 10 and 11 combined, and upon meeting the necessary experience requirements, subject to satisfactory performance in accordance with Institute policy, the individual are considerable for an Assistant Professor Grade I position in Academic Level 12.
