In the wake of coronavirus outbreak in the UK, Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip are likely to be placed in quarantine at the royal Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
This has been decided as the UK plans to isolate people over 70 as the country’s coronavirus death toll reached 21, which has almost doubled from 11 in one day.
A Buckingham Palace statement said, “Further events will be reviewed on an ongoing basis in line with the appropriate advice.”
Over 5,300 people have died due to coronavirus infection globally and over 1,42,000 others have been infected.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) on March 11 described the coronavirus outbreak as a pandemic.
The deadly virus has claimed over 5,300 lives and infected more than 142,000 people across 135 countries and territories, with the World Health Organisation describing the outbreak as a pandemic on Wednesday.
