Assam recorded 5 more positive patients on Tuesday due to Covid19 infections, taking the state’s death toll to 952.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 status said: “Sad to share demise of 5 #COVID patients”.

The patients, who succumbed to Covid19 in the last 24 hours, are from Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and Kamrup Metro districts.
The deceased have been identified as Haren Borkotoky (70), Nabanita Moran Medhi (38) of Dibrugarh; Roma Chanda (42) of Tinsukia; Dhan Kumar Singh (70) and Sheela Das (56) of Kamrup Metro.
“Condolences to bereaved families. Om Shanti,” health minister Sarma tweeted.

Till Monday, Assam registered a total of 2,09,117 Covid19 patients.
As per the data shared by health minister Sarma on Monday, a total of 2,01,839 people have recovered from the disease in Assam.
With the demise of 5 more patients, Assam currently has 6,323 active Covid19 patients.
