One more person infected with COVID-19 in Assam has been been discharged from hospital on Monday.
The patient has been discharged from Sonapur Civil Hospital, after his two successive tests confirmed as negative.
With this the total number of cured patients stood at 18 on Monday morning.
This was announced by state health minister on his official Twitter handle.
The health minister further tweeted:
‘Request all to strictly follow home quarantine guidelines.’
Sarma further informed that six out of 43 doctors and nurses who were quarantined at Taj Vivanta Hotel after having treated COVID-19 patients are being discharged on Monday.
In another tweet, he wrote:
‘Yet another occasion for us to express our gratitude to doctors and nurses for their Herculean contributions. Big bow!’
The health minister also informed that the first set of financial assistance to 86,000 stranded Assam citizens shall be disbursed on Monday under Assam Cares, which is likely to cover four lakh people.
