A total of 117 people with novel coronavirus-like symptoms have been quarantined at home in Mizoram.
Mizoram health department principal director F. Lallianhlira on Sunday said that the people have been put in home isolation as a precautionary measure.

He also said that the state has not reported any positive cases of COVID-19 till now.
“Even though no positive case has been reported, we have to remain alert,” he said

Separate helpline numbers have been launched apart from a toll-free 102 helpline, which will be manned 24×7 at the call centre, said an official statement on Thursday.
It said that people can make calls, seek assistance and furnish reports related to the deadly disease on 0389-2323336, 0389-2322336 and 0389-2318336.
The government has banned mass gathering and social events across the state.
NGOs, educational institutions, churches and other organisations were instructed to avoid mass gathering and a big event to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus in the state.
