The outbreak of coronavirus in Wuhan city of China was predicted in 1981 in a novel titled โ€˜The Eyes of Darknessโ€™ in which the virus was called Wuhan-400.

The novel was written by Dean Koontz and in it, he wrote that Wuhan-400 was created as a weapon in a laboratory.

This came to light when a twitter user- @DarrenPlymouth- brought up this cryptic reference on social media.

Captioned as โ€œIt is a strange world we live inโ€, the user posted the cover of the book and shared an excerpt from the book which mentions the Wuhan-400.

 

Following the tweet, netizens had a lot to say on this.

โ€œOmgโ€ฆ.. I remember that series. Scared the absolute life out of me when I was younger!!โ€ wrote another.
