Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Assam BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass on Wednesday flagged off 50 audio-visual vehicles from Guwahati.

The BJP has launched these audio-visual vehicles to garner public opinion on different burning issues regarding the state.

Another fleet of 50 such vehicles will be on the roads soon.

The party will draft its election manifesto based on this public opinion ahead of the state assembly polls.

Speaking on the occasion Sarbananda Sonowal said, “I am glad to flag off the audio-visual vans, which will help us to understand the aspirations of the people.”

“Knowing the remarks and opinions of the public will help us to perform better and boost development Assam. These audio-visual vans will help us to know the ground reality, based on which we can prepare the election manifesto for the upcoming state assembly polls,” Sonowal said.

These vehicles will travel to various locations in the 126 state assembly constituencies across Assam to gather public opinion.

Ranjit Dass said, “The audio-visual vans will help us  to understand common people’s aspirations in a better way.”

“Today the first 50 video vans were flagged off by Assam CM @sarbanandsonwal Ji, @BJP4Assam President @RanjeetkrDass Ji, Sr Minister @himantabiswa Ji & others in Guwahati. In phase 1, the vans are seeking public suggestions for the road map ahead, via missed calls to 73832-73832,” BJP national vice-president Baijayant Jay Panda tweeted.
