Tripura Assam: Three "robbers" arrested in Guwahati

Guwahati: Three alleged robbers were arrested in Guwahati, Assam on Sunday evening for allegedly being involved in multiple robbery cases.

The trio is accused of robbing multiple persons in the areas near Beltola and Basistha for several days.

Police sources stated that they had been robbing people at knife point.

The three suspects allegedly target people with golden chains and expensive mobile phones which they sell to their contacts.

They were identified as Nitul Boro from Udalguri, Surjit Boro from Beharbari of Guwahati, and Surya Kumar Sharma from Kamalpur.

Apart from robbery, they are also accused of being involved in multiple thefts in the area.

The police have also seized a scooter from the accused after their arrest.

Police informed that they also recovered several items that are suspected to have been stolen.

An investigation is being carried out by the police.
