As part of the Paryatan Parv, cleanliness drive was conducted in different parts of Arunachal Pradesh.

A cleanliness drive was carried out at Buddha Park in Tawang of the State by the Department of Tourism, Arunachal Pradesh.

The drive was conducted with support from students of Monyul Niketan Vidhyapith, homestay operators, all bazaar secretaries with their members, former Zilla Parishad Members (ZPMs) in collaboration with the district administration.

Informing this the Arunachal Pradesh Tourism Department on its Twitter handle on Saturday stated: “Cleanliness drive conducted today at Buddha Park with support from Students of Monyul Niketan Vidhyapith, homestay operators., all Bazaar secretaries with their members, Ex Zpms (Zilla Parishad Members) in collaboration with DA (district administration).”

It may be mentioned that Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu last Saturday launched the Swachhta Hi Seva, a fortnight long programme at Buddha Park in Tawang. The Chief Minister had said the programme would involve activities for awareness generation and community mobilisation through Shramdaan, Clean & Green Drives and Swachhta Rallies during the September 15-October 2 period.

In another tweet, the Arunachal Pradesh Tourism Department also informed that similar cleanliness drives were conducted at different places  like Roing in Lower Dibang Valley and Seppa in East Kameng district association with Arunachal Pradesh Tour Operator Association (APTOA).

The participants in the cleanliness programme joined it and cleaned the areas braving inclement weather.
