The HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishak informed that the pending CBSE examinations will be held in schools where students are enrolled.
The examinations will be conducted amid strict norms of social distancing, he said.
This has been decided to ensure minimum travel for the students, the minister added,
“The evaluation process has already begun for the board exams,” he further said.
“CBSE is trying to release the result soon and efforts are being made to declare the result by July-end itself,” he added.
The examinations will conclude by July 15.
Ensuring fast results, HRD had announced that teachers involved in the evaluation process will be exempted from delivering academic and administrative work for the tenure.
The CBSE Class X and Class XII examination are being carried out from home and the HRD has further earmarked 3000 evaluation centres.
The answer sheets would be distributed from these evaluation centres to the teachers at their homes for evaluation and then collected.
“For those who clear the CBSE exam, the new session will also be conducted amid security measures,” the minister further informed.
“There are 33 crore students and including parents, it becomes 99 crores and all of these are curious about when will school reopen and how will these function,” he said.
“We have yet to decide on the re-opening dates but have asked NCERT to create a framework on how to re-open the education institutes,” the minister added.
“The UGC is also creating a framework for higher education institutes. The health of students is our top priority,” he further said.
