The inaugural ceremony of the workshop was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Prof. P.S. Shukla, Vice-Chancellor of NEHU, who presided as the chief guest, and Smt. Trinity Saioo, renowned recipient of the Padmashree Award 2020 for her remarkable contributions to Turmeric Farming, served as the Guest of Honour.
The event witnessed the participation of 200 enthusiastic farmers and agricultural enthusiasts.
In his address, Prof. P.S. Shukla emphasized the indispensable role of agriculture in the nation’s development, emphasizing the importance of embracing organic farming practices to ensure environmental sustainability.

He commended DDUCC for its proactive efforts in organizing skill training programmes and pledged continued support for the college’s initiatives aimed at empowering youth and farmers.
