The Regional Science Centre (RSC), Guwahati, is all set to host its annual ‘Innovation Festival’ from February 9.
The two-day festival is being held in association with National Innovation Foundation at the RSC premises.
The innovation fest provides a common platform to people of the NE states working in different fields, like innovators, artists, performers, crafters, science demonstrators, etc, to showcase creativity, reports The Assam Tribune.
Sections like Innovators, Artisans, Do-it-yourselves, Challenge corner, etc will be hosted.
Around 50 innovators, including artisans and other experts from different parts of the northeast, are expected to take part with their machines/ products/unique creations.
Many hands-on activities like ‘Do-it-yourselves’ and ‘Challenging activity’ sections especially for school students will be there.
The best innovator will be awarded the Dinanath Pandey Smart Idea Innovation Award 2019 with a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
The accommodation, food and travelling charges to all outstation participants will be provided by the science centre.
