Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday inaugurated a new spherical projection system ‘Science on a Sphere’ at Regional Science Centre, Guwahati.
The state-of- the-art facility, which can display live planetary data, will illustrate Earth System science to students and science enthusiasts.

Speaking on the occasion, Sonowal said, “Science should empower younger generation and help them use science and technology to flourish in their lives”.
He also emphasized on adopting progressive attitude to keep the pace of the society in tandem with developed countries.
Regional Science Centre has become the first centre in Northeast to have ‘Sciences on a sphere’ and the inauguration of the equipment would help the society to go forward towards scientific advancement.
