Art enthusiasts recently got a chance to see the works of artists from across the state at a six-day exhibition hosted by Vision Art Assam (VAA) in upper Assam’s Jorhat.
As many as 50 renowned artists from across the state participated at the exhibition, which was organised in sync with the 2nd foundation day celebration of VAA at Barbheta of the town.
Artists Aditi Chakravarty, Munindranath Bhattacharjee, Madhusudan Das, Rajkumar Mazindar, Saleha Ahmed, Shiva Prasad Marar, Shubhakar Laskar and others exhibited their works at the show.
Each of these artworks has something significant to narrate and an art lover would enjoy viewing the different facets of human life being portrayed on the canvas.
Works of art done in watercolour, acrylic and graphics besides sculptures were on display at the exhibition.
The Vision Art Assam, which came into being in 2018 at the initiative of artist Parikshit Baruah, is a centre for visual and performing arts located at Jail Road in Jorhat.
The idea of the centre is to work for the development of visual and performing arts and enhancing awareness among the common people about art and aesthetics.
