CBSE conducted the Class 10 board exams this year from February 15 to March 18, 2025, in pen-and-paper mode. As per board officials, 24.12 lakh students appeared for the exams across 84 subjects.
CBSE Class 10th Result 2025: Over 93% Students Clear the Exam
Out of 23,85,079 students who registered for the CBSE Class 10 board exams this year, 23,71,939 appeared for the tests. Among them, 22,21,636 students successfully passed, bringing the overall pass percentage to 93.66%.

CBSE Class 10 Result 2025: JNVs Lead with Highest Pass Percentage Among School Types
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) topped the CBSE Class 10 results this year with an outstanding pass percentage of 99.49%. Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) followed closely at 99.45%. Private (independent) schools also showed strong performance with a 94.17% pass rate. Meanwhile, Central Tibetan Schools (STSS) achieved 91.53%, government schools recorded 89.26%, and government-aided schools reported the lowest pass percentage at 83.94%.

Trivandrum and Vijayawada regions have emerged as the top performers in this year’s CBSE Class 10 exams. Both regions recorded an impressive pass percentage of 99.79%, leading the country in student success.

CBSE Class 10 Result 2025: Schools Took Part in This Year’s Exams
A total of 26,675 schools participated in the CBSE Class 10 exams in 2025. The board conducted the exams across 7,837 centres nationwide. Compared to last year, participation increased, with 951 more schools and 234 additional exam centres involved.
To access their results, candidates must enter their roll number, date of birth, and school number as mentioned on their admit cards. Apart from the websites, students can also check their marks through DigiLocker, UMANG mobile app, and the IVRS system.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Class 10 results for 2025. Students can now view their scores using the UMANG app by following these steps:
- Download the UMANG app from the Play Store or App Store.
- Sign up for an account or log in using your registered mobile number.
- Tap on the option for CBSE Class 10 Result 2025.
- Enter your roll number and other required details.
- Submit the information to view your result on the screen.
Last Year’s Performance
In 2024, 22.38 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 exams. The overall pass percentage stood at 93.60%, marking an increase of 0.48 percentage points from 2023. Over 47,000 students scored above 95%, while more than 2 lakh students achieved over 90%. A total of 20.9 lakh students passed, with girls outperforming boys by recording a pass percentage of 94.75%.
CBSE Class 10th Result 2025: New Access Code System and Revised Grievance Process
Access Code for DigiLocker Accounts:
First, CBSE has introduced a six-digit access code for activating DigiLocker accounts. Once activated, students can access their Digital Academic Documents under the ‘Issued Documents’ section. The access code file is being provided to schools through their DigiLocker accounts, and institutions are responsible for distributing the codes to individual students.
Revised Result Grievance Process:
This year, CBSE has revised the procedure for addressing student grievances related to Class 10 and 12 results. Now, students must first request a photocopy of their evaluated answer book before applying for mark verification or re-evaluation. This marks a shift from previous years, where students first applied for mark verification, received the answer sheets, and then requested re-evaluation.
