A government primary teachers association of Nagaland has sought immediate intervention of the state government to address grievances and issues of Sarva Shiksa Abhiyan (SSA) teachers of the state.
The SSA teachers of the state are on a pen down strike since the past two weeks.
The All Nagaland Government Primary Teachers’ Association (ANGPTA), in a release, stated the fractured journey of the academic session 2018-19 of stakeholders in the pursuit of providing quality education to the children drew its attention.
It said the fractured journey began with the delay in disbursement of textbooks, Nagaland Assembly election process, delayed HSLC and HSSLC examinations 2018 and now the ongoing pen down agitations.
The association did not rule out the chances of more agitations by different aggrieved teachers in the immediate future.
