Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain along with Hojai MLA Shiladitya Deb visited Murajhar in Hojai district on Friday afternoon and felicitated two talented students of the district – Jebin Kausar (divyang) and Shanaz Sultana – at their homes for excelling in the HSLC examination crossing all difficult situations and extended financial aid of Rs 10,000 each.
Gyan Jyoti Academy in Murajhar, where Jebin studied, has also been extended a financial aid of Rs 3 lakh for boundary wall construction.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Rajen Gohain and local legislator Shiladitya Deb said, “Jebin and Shanaz are perfect examples of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao mission.”
“The national media should also highlight this important extraordinary talent,” Gohain and Deb said.
They further said that the two students would be extended more financial help for continuation of their studies and also shared with them their mobile phone numbers to inform them if they face any problem.
Jebin Kausar showed how she writes with her feet, looking at which both the Union Minister and the MLA were amazed.
Both Gohain and Deb also discussed the development in the case of Shanaz Sultana’s father Laykuddin, who was murdered by miscreants on March 13, 2016 with the Murajhar Officer-in-Charge, Ajit Terang and assured of proper justice to the victim’s family.
It is important to mention that Jebin Kausar secured first division in the recently-announced results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination. Jebin wrote the examination by her feet.
On the other hand, Shanaz Sultana, despite the fact that her father was murdered by miscreants due to which her family was mentally disturbed and was running under financial hardships, excelled in the HSLC examination by securing 84 pc marks with letter marks in five subjects.
