Skoda is ready to launch its new variant- the Kodiaq Scout– in India on September 30 and it will feature rugged looks and additional equipment.

The Scout is a more off-road-focused version of the SUV brand.

The Kodiaq is presently offered in two variants- Style and L&K and are priced respectively at Rs 35.37 lakh and Rs 35 lakh.

The new Kodiaq Scout will be Rs 2.37 lakh cheaper than the Style and L&K variants.

Even though the India-spec Kodiaq Scout is not revealed yet, the makers have some drastic changes in its overall look.

Kodiaq Scout gets an off-road styling pack that adds black plastic cladding with silver metallic inserts on the lower portion of the front and rear bumpers.

The new Kodiaq variant will allow owners to take the SUV further off the road than regular variants.

The Scout is expected to be powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine as the Style and L&K variants.

it produces 150PS of max power and 340Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
