Former Indian football team skipper Bhaichung Bhutia on Friday said the youth of Arunachal Pradesh should invest more time on sports.
Bhaichung, who was at Itanagar to inaugurate a Louis Philippe merchandise store, said that the footballers of Arunachal have the potential to be professionals, however, they should at the same time be provided with the basic needs and requirements.

“There should be a good sports academy in the state which should look after the footballers, nurture and train them and make them ready to represent the state in national level competitions,” he said.
Talking about his Hamro Sikkim Party and its scope of winning in the recently concluded elections, Bhaichung said his party is a ‘newborn baby’ and to compete in a state like Sikkim, where there are already two big regional parties, it was and would be quite tough.
He, however, said his party is looking forward to stand tall as a long-term political party.

“We are looking forward for the results on May 23,” Bhaichung said.
Meanwhile, speaking on the clothing brand he inaugurated, Bhaichung said the youths of Arunachal Pradesh are more inclined towards new fashion trends, thus Louis Philippe, being a reputed brand will enrich the youths more in terms of fashion.
“The clothes of Louis Philippe are very stylish and comfortable to wear, which most of the people want. So the effort made by my friend (shop owner) to come up with such a branded store which provides the people affordable, comfortable and stylish clothing is really appreciable,” he said.
