National Bureau of Soil Survey & Land Use Planning (NBSSLUP) Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Junior Research Fellow and Project Assistant for the project “Process-based modelling for predictive mapping of climate change
impact on the performance of tea and climate-smart zone based adaptation strategies in Terai-Dooars and Darjeeling region of India.”

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate in Agricultural Sciences/ Geoinformatics/ Geography/
Engineering/Technology/Statistics with specialization in RS & GIS related works.
Desirable Qualification:
(i) Knowledge in application of geospatial modelling in natural resource mapping and management, crop (preferably Tea) mapping and yield forecasting, climate change related models.
(ii) Working experience in GIS softwares/ Google Earth engine/ R programming/ Python
language/ other soil-crop modelling softwares as evidenced from publications with good report
writing skill.
Emoluments:
(i) Rs.20,000/- + 24% HRA p.m. for 1st year and 2nd year.
(ii) Rs.22,000/- + HRA 24% p.m. for 3rd year

Essential Qualification: Graduate in Soil Sciences / Agricultural chemistry or related branch of Agricultural/ Horticultural sciences with specialization in Soil related works.
Desirable Qualification:
(i) Knowledge in Soil science, natural resource mapping and management, soil and crop based
survey, (preferably Tea) and laboratory analysis of soil properties.
(ii) Working experience in soil-crop based field data collection, soil lab analysis, data entry with
good report writing skill.
Emoluments: Rs. 15,000/- + 8% HRA p.m.

Maximum Age Limit :
Minimum age limit is 21 years and maximum age limit is 45 years for men, 50 years for women/ SC/ ST/Physically challenged and 48 years for OBC candidate on the date of interview.

A walk-in-interview will be on 9th April 2024 from 9:30 AM onwards in ICAR-NBSSLUP, Regional Centre, Kolkata, Sec- II, Block – DK, Salt Lake, Kolkata – 700091, West Bengal
