Assam University Silchar is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Research Associate (RA) in Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) funded research project entitled “Empowering Women through Skill Development and Communication Strategic: Milestone for Atmanirbhar Bharat.” Assam University came into existence in 1994 after enactment of the Assam (Central) University Act 1989. Through its pursuit, Assam University is in the process of making itself an institute of excellence. Its main campus is present at Dargakona, about 20 kms away from Silchar. The campus is altogether spread over 600 acres. It also provides an ideal environment for the researchers, students. People who have an interest in academic excellence also finds this university good. The other campus of the university is present at Diphu in the district of Karbi Anglong, Assam. Assam University hosts a national characteristics of unity in diversity. Faculties, staff and students hail from all over the country. International students also finds this institution as an ideal centre for their academic endeavour. The university altogether has the territorial jurisdiction over the five districts of Assam.

Eligibility Criteria: Full-time Post Graduation/ M.Phil/ Ph.D. in any Social Science discipline with minimum 55% of marks.
Desirable:
- Familiarity in working with Statistical software and other Quantitative methods.
- Candidates having sound knowledge and also experience in the thrust area of the project will be
given preference.
Emoluments: Rs. 16,000.00/- p.m.
