All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Guwahati Assam is inviting applications in 2026 from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-medical) under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded Extramural Research Project titled: “Identification of the Clinical Phenotypes and Comparison of Risk Factors of Thiamine Deficiency-Related Disorders in Various Regions of India: A Multicentric Study” The position is purely on contractual basis under the Principal Investigator: Dr. Bhupen Barman, Professor and HOD, Department of General Medicine

Qualification :
Essential:
1. First Class Post Graduate Degree in public health / psychology / social work, including integrated PG Degrees.
OR
2. Second Class Post Graduate Degree in public health / psychology / social work, including integrated PG Degrees with a Ph.D.
Desirable:
1. Minimum two (02) years’ experience in research projects.
2. Experience in health sector / community settings / mental healthcare.
3. Fluency in English, Hindi & Assamese.
4. Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office.
5. Experience in electronic data collection and management tools like ODK, SPSS, R Studio.
Emoluments :
Rs. 56,000/- + 20% HRA = Rs. 67,200/- p.m. (1st & 2nd Year)
Rs. 56,000/- + 5% Increment + 20% HRA = Rs. 70,560/- p.m. (3rd Year)
Upper Age Limit : 35 years as on last date of application
Job Roles :
- Manage daily operations of the research project.
- Supervise staff involved in intervention delivery, data entry, and data management.
- Oversee data collection staff and study participant follow-up.
- Coordinate intervention components with the PI and field staff.
- Conduct project staff meetings and maintain quality control measures.
- Prepare regular project reports for ICMR.
- Oversee project budget and accounting.
- Coordinate with the institution’s technical and administrative units and with ICMR.
