Around 249,673 students of Science, Arts, and Commerce streams appeared the High Secondary Education examination this year. Flying squads were deployed at 21 centers in the most sensitive areas of Assam.

This year, the Assam Higher Secondary Council has decided to publish Assam AHSEC Results 2019 via Website and SMS.

Students are requested to keep some of the details handy so that it will be easier for them to check Assam HS Results instantly. The details are –

  2.  Keep an eye on your ROLL
  3. Keep an eye on your NO.
  4. Keep an eye on your Examination center number
  5.  And Date of Birth.

However, each year, the council changes the system a little bit so some of the details may not be required, but it is always beneficial to keep those details handy to check your HS Result.

How to check Assam AHSEC Result 2019

Assam AHSEC Result 2019 will be declared at around 9 AM (Date is not fixed yet).  Students can check these two websites [Website 1] & [Website 2] to check their AHSEC Results.

Following are the steps you must follow to check your AHSEC Results via the website.  (Due to high traffic volume, the sites might crash, and in such situation, you need to wait and check back later)

  • ·         Visit the official website – ahsec.nic.in.
  • ·         Click on the link provided to check the AHSEC result 2019 (will be available once the AHSEC result is announced officially).
  • ·         Enter your Roll Code, Roll Number, and the Security Code in the box provided.
  • ·         The Assam Class 12 AHSEC Result will appear on the screen.
  • ·         Download the result and take a few print outs for future reference.

How HS students performed on the previous year

Last year, a total of 2,49,313 students had appeared the Assam Higher Secondary examination in Arts, Science and Commerce streams. The pass percentage of Higher Secondary examination in 2018 was as follows:

  • Arts stream – 73.16%,
  • Science stream – 86.24%
  • Commerce stream – 82.72%

The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) was established on June 1, 1984, to Regulate, Supervise and Develop the System of Higher Secondary Education (+ 2 stages) in Assam. Dr.Dayananda Borgohain is the Chairman of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council. Kamal Gogoi is Secretary of AHSEC.


The AHSEC prescribes curricula and syllabus for Higher Secondary stage which may be taught in a junior college or Higher Secondary school. The curriculum set by the AHSEC is highly dynamic, and a chapter on the basics of GST was introduced in the macroeconomics section of the curriculum for higher secondary second-year economics students. It also conducts examination and grant certificate to students passing the examinations.

The AHSEC prescribe and select text books and supplementary books for the 10+2 courses and lay down conditions of recognition of Higher Secondary School and Junior College. It also prescribes the necessary qualifications of teachers in recognized Higher Secondary Schools.

The Council has a full-time Chairman who is the chief executive of the organization. The state government appoints the Chairman for a term of three years, which may be extended for another period of three years.

The Secretary of the Council is the principal Administrative officer and is responsible for all matters. The Controller of Examinations is responsible for all issues concerning examination administration as well as confidential work of examination.

The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council also runs the Assam Open Schools in the state. There are 99 accredited study centers of Assam Open School spread across all the districts in the state.
