Contributions towards Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) continue to pour in so that the state government can use the same for the flood affected people of Assam.
On Friday, chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal received cheque as contributions to the CMRF from Prerana IAS Officers Wives Association at the premises of Assam Legislative Assembly.
Chief minister Sonowal also received another cheque as contributions to CMRF from Assam Gas Company Ltd. at the premises of Assam Legislative Assembly on Friday.
Various individuals and representatives of organisations called on CM Shri @sarbanandsonwal at Assam Legislative Assembly, Guwahati and presented their contribution towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

On Friday, union minister of state for food processing industries Rameshwar Teli after called on chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal in Guwahati handed over a cheque as contribution to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

He also discussed with the CM over the prevailing flood situation in Assam.
On Friday, chief minister Sonowal received a cheque as contributions to the CMRF from Siukapha Bhavan Nirman Samiti.
On Thursday, chief minister Sonowal received a cheque for CMRF from the Pub-Kamrup Bricks Owners’ Association.
Assam minister of state for revenue and disaster management Bhabesh Kalita, MLA Gurujyoti Das, MLA Ashok Singhal also handed over cheques for the CMRF, on Thursday.
AGP Legislature Party leaders also handed over a cheque to chief minister Sonowal on Thursday.
The officials of the PWD (Housing & NH) also recently contributed ? 1.51 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The chief minister also received a cheque of ? 1,36,500 from representatives of the Assam Taxation Officers’ Association as their contribution towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The representatives of Gauhati University also recently handed over a cheque of ? 25 lakh to CM Sonowal as contribution towards the CMRF in Guwahati.
Representatives of Vivo India also recently handed over a cheque of Rs 10 lakh to CM Sonowal as contribution towards the CMRF.
Celebrities also continue to contribute for the flood affected people of Assam.
After cine star Akshay Kumar, who contributed Rs 2 crore towards the CMRF, super star Amitabh Bachchan has also contributed Rs 51 lakh towards the CMRF.
Appreciating the contributions from Big B, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) on its Twitter handle stated: “We appreciate Shri Amitabh Bachchan ji for contributing Rs. 51 lakh to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. This is a great gesture & show of care for the people.”
