The Assamese video song ‘Sadiya’ has been released by Dhwani Records in Guwahati.

This is the debut Assamese video song of Kaushik.

The song is produced by Gentle Breeze Creations in association with Subhalakhi Chetia.

Kaushik Kashyap and Deeplina Saikia have featured in the music video.

The song has been composed and sung by Kaushik Kashyap, a Mumbai-based singer.

Bibhuti Gogoi has done the music production of the song while Utpal Sharma has done the mixing and mastering of the song.

The lyrics of the song has been penned by Bichitra Bordoloi.

AD Crafts, a Guwahati-based production company has made the video.

The direction and editing has been done by Sanjeev Borthakur while the cinemotography has been done by Nahid Ahmed and the whole production control has been done by Manash Das.

The song ‘Sadiya’ is a unique blend of folk fusion which showcases the rich history and culture of Sadiya.

Sadiya is an unexplored tourism hot-spot and the video song touches the important places which could become a tourist hub.

The main intention of the video song is to highlight the rich cultural heritage of Sadiya.

“Last year I had decided to make a song on ‘Sadiya’ as since my childhood I have a fascination towards Sadiya. As my grandfather used to work there and I used hear a lot of stories on Sadiya from him. My main intention to make this song was to showcase the rich history and culture of Sadiya. Sadiya is an unexplored area and it can become a great tourist hot spot,” said Kaushik Kashyap.

Kaushik Kashyap, who is basically from Dibrugarh in Assam, completed his engineering in electronics from Pune and he decided to follow his dream of creating music.

He has equal interest towards Indian classical and western music which encouraged him to create fusion music.

In 2014, he got a chance to compose the title track for an acclaimed period short-film ‘Hunz N Gunz’ and also played one of the lead roles in the film as an actor.

After shifting to Mumbai, he started to share stage with a popular performer Ali Quli Mirza and performed all over India in several big events along with him.

In 2016, Zee Music Company released his single ‘Jogi De Naal’ which is a Sufi-fusion track and a great hit.  Kaushik has a band in Mumbai called Open Music Grind (OMG).
