Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Monday met Union home minister Amit Shah and discussed on various issues of the State including expediting CBI case regarding the several thousand crore Rose Valley chit fund and special package for ADC area’s fast development.

The chief minister has specially talked about speeding up the CBI investigation against Rose Valley and other chit fund agencies which have duped the people of the state with thousand of crores of rupees.

Deb also emphasized on the overall development for the ADC area.

Meantime, Shah appreciating the proposal asked the chief minister to take time bound action plans for the fast development of the ADC areas.

During the meeting Deb also raised and discussed about various plans for uplifting the tribal youths and about various beneficiary schemes for uplifting the tribal students.

During the meeting they also discussed about completing the left over border fencing work on India Bangladesh border at Dhalai and Sipahijala district.

Deb also submitted a proposal of deploying Home Guards in security sectors beside reimbursement claim of Rs 91,27,316 which was spent for SRE for CPMF during 2015-16.

The chief minister has also requested to increase the honorarium of SPO’s from RS 3000 to RS 6156 pm (current number of SPOs 2830).

State has given proposal for deployment of a Tripura State Rifles battalion outside of the State.

The chief minister has requested the Home Ministry not to withdraw the Assam Rifles from Tripura and in case of withdrawal the assets and infrastructure of Assam Rifles to be handed over to State Government.

Deb has also discussed about passing of Tripura Industries (Facilitation) Bill 2018.

After the meeting Amit Shah is learnt to have assured the chief minister that all issues shall be positively responded quickly for the betterment of Tripura.
