Assam footballer Vinit Rai Chamling has been selected to play for the Indian men’s football team in the upcoming King’s Cup that will be held in Thailand.
Vinit has been included in the final list of 23 footballers that has been choosen to play for the Indian football team in the prestigious international football tournament to be held in Buriram of Thailand from June 5 to June 8.

The Assam Football Association is delighted with Vinit’s selection along with the football fans of the State. Vinit has been selected to play as a midfielder for the Indian team.
The Indian men’s football team will play in the international football tournament under the guidance of a new coach named Igor Stimac.
India will play against Curacao in their first match of the King’s Cup slated to be held on June 5.
The Kokrajhar based football player gave an amazing performance as a central midfielder for the Delhi Dynamos team in the Indian Super League (ISL).
Apart from ISL, Vinit has also played brilliantly in Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-23 Championships and various other international football tournaments.
He did his initial football training at the Tata Football Academy from the age of 13.
