The results of the higher secondary examination, 2019, conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM), was announced on Wednesday.
This year’s overall pass percentage of 73.83 is higher than the pass percentage of 2018 which stood at 67.04.
The pass percentage of students studying in non-governmental educational institutions (78.64 per cent) is higher than that of government institutions (61.96 per cent).
Senior education department officials, COHSEM chairman L Mahendra and other officials along with teachers from Manipur University also attended the function held to declare the examination results.

Altogether, 21,151 students passed in the Arts, Science and Commerce streams, out of the total number of 28,649 students who appeared in the examinations.
Michael Atom of Meci Explorer and L Librada of Xtra Edge School jointly shared the top position in the science stream while O Berlin of Enlighten Knowledge Higher Secondary School topped in the humanities stream.
G Roberto of Sangai Higher Secondary School topped the commerce stream.
L Parinita Devi, a resident of Mayang in Imphal and a student of Herbert School secured highest mark in mathematics (99).
N Nebita, a resident of Kakching and a student of Pioneer Academy, secured highest mark in Manipuri (98).
Bonnyshla Moirangthem of Xtra Edge school and a resident of Moirangkhom in Imphal secured highest mark in English (98).
N Sokha A of Asufii Christian Institute secured highest mark in Mao (97) while Rinchipema A Haopungnao of Savio School, Ukhrul, secured highest mark in Tangkhul (97).
The class XII examination was conducted from February 18 to March 20 this year.
