A massive rally was taken out by the school students, staffs of Jamia Islamia Jalalia Madrassa in Hojai district of Asam on Monday to condemn the heinous Pulwama terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir on February 14 last.
The rally began from the Madrassa campus at Gopal Nagar in Hojai at around 11 am which concluded at Hojai Town Eidgah maidan.
Hundreds of students of madrasaa along with teachers and staff came out from their house in large numbers shouting slogans and holding placards showcased their protest.
Condemning the barbaric attack, the protesters shouted slogans like ‘Bhartiya Sena Jindabad’, ‘Pakistan Murdabad’, ‘Stop terrorism’, ‘Islam does not support Terrorism’.
On the other hand, Ajmal Foundation took a silent march in protest against Pulwama terror attack which claimed the lives of 49 CRPF personnel on February 14 last.
The marche began from Ajmal Law College campus at around 12 noon and ended at the same venue. The rally traversed thorough the mainfares of town.
Staff of Ajmal Foundation along with its hundreds of students from its groups of colleges viz, Ajmal Law College, Nazir Ajmal Memorial College of Education, Maryam Women’s Arts College, Ajmal College of Arts,Science and Commerce participated in this massive rally.
At the culminaton of the rally, a memorandum was submitted by Khasrul Islam, general secretary, Ajmal Foundation in the presence retired colonel Samir Khanjilal, staff, teachers and students of Ajmal Group of Colleges through circle officer of Hojai district to President of India.
Another protest march was taken out on Monday against the Pulwama terror attack at Nilbagan under Hojai district by Jamia Islamia Jalalia, supported by the Assam State Jamiat Ulamah.
