Three bike riders were killed on the spot in a road accident when the motorcycle they were riding on collided head on with a mini truck along the national highway at Kaliabor in Nagaon district of Assam.

According to information a mini truck coming from Golaghat bearing registration number AS-01-DD-2134 rammed into a bike bearing registration number AS-12-D-7071 coming from the opposite direction.
As a result the three bikers died on the spot. At the filing this report, the identity of only one biker has been ascertained. He was Ram Dewal Gour hailing from Koliabor.
Notably, the min truck involved in the accident tried to flee from the spot and again rammed into another vehicle carrying vegetables bearing registration number AS-23-BC-8313.
As as result of the impact the vehicle carrying vegetables overturned on the national highway.
The mini truck also overturned off the road losing control after the second accident.
The injured driver and handyman of the vegetable carrying vehicle were immediately rushed to the hospital at the initiative of Jakhalabandha police and local residents.
Police from the Jakhalabandha police station told Northeast Now that the impact of the accident was so fierce that the faces of the bikers were totally beyond recognition and the Pulsar bike that they were riding has been smashed into pieces.
The bodies were later sent for post mortem to the Nagaon civil hospital.
Though the driver and handyman of the mini truck tried to flee after the accident but police managed to apprehend them.
