The KYF brings together the Karbi tribe spread all over the Northeast.

There will be culture, fun, spirit of youth, music and food.

The preparation for the 45th edition of the KYF is complete as far as the arrangement for the event is concerned but the vendors are still putting up their stalls.

The stalls will sell fast food, barbeque, noodles, samosa, paratha and tea.

For the folk dancers, cultural activists and the vendors, the venue will be home for the next 5 days during which Taralangso will become a sea of humanity that do not sleep.

The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) and Diphu Town Committee have made arrangements for sanitation and drinking water facilities.

The KCS as usual will look after everything including security.

The roads to the KYF venue have been widened, well lit and provided with footpath for the pedestrians.

This year, the organiser KCS is expecting more than half a million visitors.

Academicians, researchers and a few foreigners will also visit the KYF.
