Sikkim on Wednesday accorded a warm welcome to the four bikers from Bharmaputra Bikers Club, Assam who rode into Gangtok on their Harley Davidson super bikes.
These adventure enthusiasts from Assam rode all the way from Guwahati and reached Gangtok on Wednesday. They are in Sikkim to take part in the unique Harley Davidson ride on Thursday from Ridge Park, Gangtok to Buddha Park, Rabongla in south district.
The four bikers would be joined by eight other Harley Davidson riders from Sikkim.
The team from Assam would halt for the night at Tinkitam in South Sikkim and then take the road the following day.
At Gangtok, the bikers from Assam called on Tourism minister Ugen T Gyatso Bhutia and exchanged pleasantries.
The Assam bikers were earlier welcomed at Rangpo upon their entry to Sikkim.
Rangpo Tourism assistant manager Sushma Pradhan and local people accorded the bikers a warm welcome on their arrival in the hill state.
