Dr Anup Jyoti Borah, an Ayurvedic doctor by profession, serving at Bokakhat Civil Hospital in Golaghat district, has been able to crack the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE), 2016 for Assam Police Service (Jr Grade) conducted by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC).
It may be mentioned that Maria Tanim has emerged topper in the CCE, 2016, results of which were declared on Friday.

Dr Borah, a resident of No 2 Koralgaon in Majuli island and son of Bipin Borah, in-charge of Naojan Police Outpost in Golaghat, had a dream of becoming a police officer.
Anup Jyoti did his schooling from Moran Higher Secondary School and cleared the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination from JB College in Jorhat.
After clearing Higher Secondary, Borah got admission in the Government Ayurvedic College, Guwahati.
After completing graduation in Ayurvedic in 2014, Dr Borah started his journey of service life at the GNRC Hospital in Guwahati, but his dream of becoming a police officer remained fresh.
After leaving GNRC Hospital, Dr Borah joined Bokakhat Civil Hospital and stressed in preparing for the Combined Competitive Examination conducted by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) to become an APS officer.
Finally, his name came on the top of the list of Assam Police Service candidates.
Talking to Northeast Now, Dr Borah said that he was happy to crack the competitive examination conducted by the APSC to become a police officer, which had been his dream since childhood.
Dr Borah said his father (Bipin Borah), who is a police officer, is his ideal.
