Jiniya Chatterjee is making headlines after bagging Rs. 9.6 lakh and a sponsored holiday after winning the fifth season of Wakefit’s Sleep Internship which requires competitors to sleep for a period of 60 days

The unusual internship, organised by home and furnishing company Wakefit, required participants to prioritise sleep, maintain consistent sleeping schedules and take part in creative weekly challenges. Out of more than 2 lakh applicants, only 10 candidates were selected after several rounds of screening and personal interviews. They competed over approximately 60 days, tracking their sleep performance, with daily scores determining their positions on a leaderboard.

Jiniya has a post graduate degree in English from University of Mumbai

As per her Instagram profile, she is a singer, teacher, actor and dancer

She said that she had been manifesting making it to the grand finale of Wakefit’s Sleep Internship since in 2019

She is also one among the ten winners of Nayii Udaan 2026 which is intensive musical mentorship programme given only to selected finalists

In an Instagram video, she revealed that she has multiple jobs- teaching music, teaching English, working with an organization as a book club host for children, doing freelance content writing

Apart from this, she also has two businesses which are tarot and gifting

Her gifting venture is called Heartstrings Gifting

She believes that if we want to build discipline, we should stop waiting to feel motivated as motivation isn’t very reliable

She said her urge to participate in Wakefit’s sleep internship has been possible mostly because of her parents who inculcated in her the discipline of sleeping and always encouraged her to get at least 10 hours of it every day.
