Imphal: A woman Sub-Inspector of the Manipur Police has received the prestigiousย Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak 2026, becoming the only personnel from the state to earn the national recognition in the category of criminal investigation this year.
Dr. Asem Satyapati Devi, who is currently serving at Lilong Police Station in Thoubal district, is among 123 police personnel from across the country selected by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs for their exceptional professional skills and significant contributions to criminal investigations.
Following the announcement, the Director General of Police and personnel from all ranks of the Manipur Police congratulated Dr. Devi on her achievement. In an official statement, the department described the award as a recognition not only of her individual dedication and professional competence but also of the commitment, discipline and investigative standards upheld by the state police force.
Although the Ministry of Home Affairs and state police authorities have not identified any specific case or First Information Report (FIR) associated with the award, Dr. Devi’s recognition is understood to reflect her overall investigative contributions, including her notable work during an earlier posting at the Thoubal Women Police Station.
