Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has launched the Samagra Sewa app under the Tinsukia Municipal Board, marking a step towards digitising civic services in the town.
Developed at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore, the app is designed to make municipal services more accessible and convenient, enabling residents to access essential facilities from their homes.
The platform provides four key services, including real-time tracking of waste collection vehicles, online property tax payments, trade licence and building permission services, and a system for registering civic grievances.
Through the vehicle-tracking feature, residents can monitor garbage collection vehicles in real time. The online payment facility is expected to simplify property tax payments, while the app will also allow citizens to apply for trade licences and building permissions.
Residents can further use the platform to submit complaints related to civic services, providing a digital channel for grievance redressal.
The initiative aims to improve transparency, accessibility and efficiency in the delivery of municipal services across Tinsukia.
