Guwahati: Police have registered an FIR against unidentified persons after two posters questioning the governmentโ€™s performance were discovered inside a train on the Delhi Metroโ€™s Airport Express Line.

The posters were printed in black and white on A4-sized sheets. They carried slogans including โ€œVoting Protestโ€, โ€œYou Can Change Your Own Lifeโ€, โ€œSpectrum of Engagementโ€, โ€œCommunity Building Reformโ€ and โ€œDissatisfied? You Are Not Aloneโ€.

The sheets also listed nine claims about changes in the country in recent years and included a QR code inviting people to join an online group, police sources said.

The incident was reported on October 20 by Tarun Chaudhary, a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) train operator posted on the Airport Express Line.

According to the FIR, he found the posters while inspecting a train he had operated from New Delhi station to Yashobhoomi.

The train left New Delhi at around 6.50 pm and reached Yashobhoomi at approximately 7.15 pm. During his inspection from the driver’s cabin, Chaudhary spotted the two posters stuck to a seat.

He removed them and informed his senior officers and the Operations Control Centre. He was then asked to hand over the posters to the station controller at Dwarka Sector 21, who contacted the police.

The Special Cell is now assisting with the probe, while police collected the posters on Friday.
