Pathsala: Dipjyoti Patgiri from Pathsala in Assam’s Bajali district has secured an opportunity to work as a Postdoctoral Researcher at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in the United States.
Patgiri pursued higher education and research at IIT Roorkee, where he developed his expertise in science and space research. He is expected to travel to the U.S. shortly to begin his work at the NASA centre, which is involved in space and Earth science research.
Patgiri began his education in Pathsala. He is the son of retired teachers Umesh Patgiri and Romoni Patgiri.
After completing his early education in Pathsala, he moved to IIT Roorkee for higher studies and research. Following his research work there, he secured the opportunity to join NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center as a postdoctoral researcher.
The development has been welcomed by his family, relatives and residents of Pathsala and Bajali. His selection for postdoctoral research at an international space research institution has also drawn attention in the region, particularly among students and researchers pursuing higher studies in science and technology.
