BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla resubmits his resignation letter to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the second time

In a letter addressed to BJP national president, Poonawalla said that ‘it is extremely touching’ and he is ‘indeed grateful’ that the party refused to accept his first resignation letter immediately and asked him to reconsider the decision

He said that ‘after long and hard contemplation’ and ‘the events of the last few days courtesy certain individuals’ have forced him to reinforce and stand by his earlier decision which he also claimed as final and thereby pressed the saffron party for relieving him from his ‘role as National Spokesperson and active primary membership of the BJP’

Sharing the photo of the letter on Instagram, Poonawalla wrote, “With utmost humility, sense of affection & gratitude i have once again submitted my resignation letter to @BJP4India & Hon’ble Shri @nitinnabinbjp ji & have requested that the same be accepted.

“Eternally grateful for guidance, love, respect and platform that @BJP4India & in particular PM @narendramodi ji, Shri @nitinnabinbjp ji, HM @amitshahofficial ji, Shri BL Santhosh ji, Shri @jpnaddaofficial ji , Shri @rajnathsingh ji, Shri @nitin_gadkari ji & all our senior leaders & the larger Sangh Parivar trusted me with.
