KPDEF has donated Rs 9 lakh to support relief and rehabilitation efforts for families affected by the Possa Yazali cloudburst in Arunachal.

Dibrugarh: The Keyi Panyor District Employeesโ€™ Forum (KPDEF) has donated Rs 9 lakh to support relief and rehabilitation efforts for families affected by the recent cloudburst in Possa Yazali.

A delegation from the forum, led by Vice President (Admin) Neelam Teji, handed over the cheque to Deputy Commissioner Ankita Mishra. The delegation included Tabia Chobin, DDSE, ICR, Secretary General Taba Nepa and other executive members.

The cloudburst caused significant damage to property in Possa Yazali, leaving several families facing heavy losses and uncertainty as they work to recover from the disaster.

Accepting the contribution, Deputy Commissioner Ankita Mishra thanked KPDEF and the district employees for their timely assistance and solidarity with the affected families. She said contributions from various sections of society would strengthen ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts.

Neelam Teji said the Rs 9 lakh had been raised through collective contributions from district employees. He described the initiative as an expression of solidarity with families affected by the natural disaster.

โ€œOur collective contribution is a small effort to extend support and solidarity to the families who have suffered due to the cloudburst. We stand with them in this difficult hour,โ€ Teji said.

KPDEF members expressed hope that the contribution would help meet the immediate needs of affected families and complement the district administrationโ€™s relief measures.

The forum also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the administration and affected communities as recovery and rehabilitation efforts continue.

The initiative reflects the role of government employees in supporting communities during emergencies and contributing to humanitarian relief beyond their routine official responsibilities.
