Central Muga Eri Research & Training Institute (CMERTI) Jorhat Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Project Assistant (PA) under the following CSB funded research project entitled “Classification of Muga and Eri Production Systems and Assessment of Productivity Determinations and Gender Dynamics” in 2026.

Essential Qualification :
Three / four years full time degree, especially in Sciences (B.Sc.) with relevant subjects.
Or
Three / four years full time B.Sc. degree in the relevant subject and PG Diploma in Sericulture.
Desirable Qualification :
1. M.Sc. in Social Sciences/Agricultural Sciences with specialization in Agricultural Statistics, Agricultural Economics, or Agricultural Extension.
2. Knowledge of Muga and Eri sericulture.
3. Experience in field surveys, socio-economic studies, and data collection.
4. Proficiency in MS Office and basic statistical data analysis.
5. Willingness to undertake extensive fieldwork and stakeholder interactions.
Age Limit : 30 years (as on 30.07.2026)
Emoluments :
Rs.15,000.00 for candidates without PGDS (Fixed)
Rs.20,000.00 for candidates with PGDS (Fixed)

Candidates may appear for walk-in interviews on 30.07.2026. Time of interview is 9:30 AM. Venue is at CSB-Central Muga Eri Research & Training Institute, Lahdoigarh, Jorhat Assam.
