Guwahati: Fresh incidents of violence were reported in the border areas of Kamjong district in the early hours of May 7, after suspected militants carried out coordinated attacks on villages near the Myanmar border.

According to sources, the attacks took place around 2 am in Namlee Market and Choro village. The assault is believed to have been carried out by suspected cadres of the KNA-B, allegedly using drones, raising concerns over the use of advanced methods in the conflict hit hill regions.

Reports said several houses were set on fire during the incident, although no confirmed casualties had been reported till the time of filing this report.
