Doomdooma: Acting on specific inputs, a team from Assam Police under Chauldhowa Outpost successfully recovered five stolen cows during an early morning operation on Saturday, officials said.
According to Lakhimpur Police, five individuals have been apprehended in connection with the theft.
“Based on source information, our team carried out a prompt operation leading to the recovery of the stolen cattle and the arrest of the suspects,” a police official stated.
The recovered cows have been secured, and necessary procedures are being followed to return them to their rightful owners.
Authorities confirmed that further legal action has been initiated against the accused under relevant sections of law.
Police officials reiterated their commitment to tackling cattle theft and maintaining law and order in the district, adding that investigations are ongoing to ascertain whether more individuals are involved in the case.
