Suicide spree or controversial incidents simply refuse to leave the premises of the premiere institute – Indian Institute of Technology- Guwahati (IIT-G).
In another blot to the premiere Indian Institute of Technology –Guwahati (IIT-G), another student, Nagashree Aithal, a B Tech first year Mechanical Engineering student from the institute allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her hostel room on Wednesday.

The deceased student, Nagashree Aithal, a boarder of Dhansiri hostel was from Karnataka.
Reportedly, the student committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan of her hostel room when her roommate left for her morning classes.
The cause of the alleged suicide it not yet known, but the police is investigating the matter.
Earlier, a couple of students and employee have commited suicide at the IIT-G.
Last month, a 25-year-old contractual employee of the institute allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his living room.
Police found the body of Kishor Barua was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his living room in the IIT campus.
Kishor, who worked as a cook in Manas Hostel of the IIT on contractual basis, was a resident of Khehenipara village under Baihata Chariali police station in Kamrup district.
Earlier, a post-graduate student of IIT-Guwahati allegedly committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan in his hostel room In May in 2016.
Sarkar Intekhab Alam, who hailed from Murshidabad in West Bengal, was found dead by some students of his hostel in the IIT campus.
In 2014, an Electronics and Communication Engineering student of IIT-Guwahati was found dead behind his three-storey hostel building.
The police had maintained that the student, Tushar Yadav (19), a resident of Gurgaon in Haryana committed suicide by jumping from the hostel rooftop.
Notably, at least six suicide cases have been reported in the institution so far.
