Guwahati: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu visited the Sonapur Higher Secondary School Playground on April 4 to campaign for the NDA ahead of Assam’s upcoming elections.

He conveyed his confidence that the alliance is poised to win a third consecutive term in Assam.

Speaking to the crowd, Khandu remarked that the large turnout demonstrated strong voter enthusiasm and reflected public support for continuing the NDA government.

He appeared alongside NDA candidate Basanta Das of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), who is contesting the Nawboicha (SC) seat, and remarked that strong cooperation among alliance members is crucial for consistent governance and long-term development.

Khandu pointed out that Assam and Arunachal Pradesh share strong developmental and cultural connections, adding that Assam’s support plays a significant role in Arunachal’s progress.

He assured the audience that the government remains committed to the well-being of citizens and stressed the strong, cooperative relationship between the two states.
