Guwahati: Nine candidates from Assam and Manipur have cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025, the results of which were declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday.
From Manipur, Calvin Ginminlien Zou secured All India Rank (AIR) 134, emerging as the highest-ranked candidate from the state. The other successful candidates from Manipur are Wahengbam Renudhar Singh (AIR 652), Th. Vapani John (AIR 800), Rahul Moirangthem (AIR 824), Liangousang Vualnam (AIR 868) and Ningthoujam Rishikant Singh (AIR 903).
From Assam, Abhigyan Khaund secured AIR 187. The other successful candidates from the state are Abhigyan Jyoti Bora (AIR 570) and Bhaswata Saikia (AIR 777).
At the national level, Anuj Agnihotri topped the Civil Services Examination 2025. Rajeshwari Suve M (AIR 2) and Akansh Dhull (AIR 3) secured the second and third ranks, respectively.
According to the Commission, 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various central civil services against 1,087 vacancies reported by the central government. The candidature of 348 recommended candidates has been kept provisional.
The Civil Services Examination is conducted annually by the UPSC in three stages โ preliminary, mains and interview, to recruit officers for key administrative services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS), among others.
