A plantation programme was conducted under the guidance of S.C. Looniya

Pasighat: The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with pride and patriotic fervour at Project Brahmank, highlighting the Border Roads Organisationโ€™s (BRO) commitment to nation-building through road connectivity and infrastructure development.

S. C. Looniya, Chief Engineer of Project Brahmank, unfurled the national flag, symbolising unity, dedication, and adherence to the Constitution of India. He also laid a wreath at the newly inaugurated Brahmank Memorial in honour of BRO personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Addressing the gathering, Looniya extended greetings to officers, staff, and casual labourers, acknowledging their dedication, teamwork, and contributions that strengthen the organisationโ€™s operations.

In a blend of cultural and environmental initiatives, a plantation programme was conducted under his guidance, coinciding with the celebrations of Vasant Panchami and Saraswati Puja. The programme underscored the importance of environmental sustainability while promoting knowledge, growth, and prosperity.

The occasion also marked a moment of pride for the Project, as S. C. Looniya was conferred with the prestigious Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM) for distinguished service, exemplary leadership, and outstanding contribution to the BRO and the nation. Project Brahmank personnel were also honoured with two Government Commendation Cards, one COAS Commendation Card, five DGBR Commendations, and two ADGBR (E) Commendations.

The celebrations highlighted Looniyaโ€™s inspirational leadership, promoting discipline, unity, environmental consciousness, and national pride, while reinforcing BROโ€™s role in enhancing connectivity to remote areas, supporting economic development, and strengthening national security.
